The Palazzo Hotel, an impressive country-style mansion, has an ambience of affluence. Guests are welcomed by a grand entrance fountain, enhanced by classical sculptures of male and female forms. The interiors epitomise abundance in a rough edged, hearty style, with ample rooms opening onto private courtyards. By contrast, the private garden is formal, heavily detailed, intricate and laden with artefacts. The manicured lawns are adorned with box hedges, Olive trees, neat rows of Citrus trees and a koi pond, while annual colour blazes amongst the many terracotta pots, sculptures and furnishings. A classical outdoor terrace leads to the grand finale at the bottom of the garden: an immense and luxurious swimming pool.
