Born and educated in England, Mark is a qualified landscape architect with a global outlook shaped by time spent living in Ghana, Canada, and South Africa. After earning his BA in Landscape Design and a Graduate Diploma in Landscape Architecture, he established Landmark in 1986.
With over three decades of experience, Mark has led a wide range of projects—from iconic corporate campuses to luxury resorts across diverse climates, from the deserts of Dubai to the lush tropics of the Seychelles.
Today, he remains hands-on in every aspect of the practice, guiding the design direction and leading major projects with insight and creativity. Known for his calm presence, dry wit, and grounded professionalism, Mark brings both leadership and a collaborative spirit to the Landmark team.
Glenn is a qualified landscape architect with a passion for shaping vibrant, large-scale environments across Africa. He graduated from the University of Pretoria before focusing his career on golf courses and commercial landscapes.
Since joining Landmark in 1997, Glenn has played a key role in leading major projects, particularly within the casino and hospitality sectors. Today, he heads up the firm’s Africa portfolio, overseeing high-end hotel and resort developments across South Africa, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, Namibia, and Ghana.
Glenn’s strengths lie in site supervision, project administration, and his calm, practical approach to problem-solving. Known for being organised, approachable, and deeply knowledgeable, he’s a trusted leader both within the Landmark team and in the wider industry.
Ilze is a registered professional landscape architect with a keen eye for thoughtful, people-centred design. She completed her Master’s degree at the University of Pretoria in 2013 and registered with the South African Council for the Landscape Architectural Profession in 2016.
Ilze began her career specialising in playground and children’s play equipment design, laying the foundation for her deep understanding of user experience and spatial engagement. Over the past decade, she has built a diverse portfolio across residential, commercial, corporate, institutional, and large-scale urban projects.
Today, Ilze plays a central role in the studio’s tourism and mixed-use developments. Her creative energy, technical skill, and collaborative mindset make her a valued leader and a driving force in Landmark’s evolving design approach.
