PINE CLIFFS RESORT

Pine Cliffs, a family resort in the Algarve, Portugal, attracts local and international clientele alike. The bold white Portuguese architecture is enhanced by rich brown terracotta chimney pieces and light is used extensively as a design element. These features are offset by the existing deep green Pine trees blanketing the site. In a subtle interplay of richness and simplicity, the landscape includes manicured lawns, Olive trees, Lavender, Rosemary and rocks originating on site. Local stone and tile were used almost exclusively throughout the resort which assists in giving the design a sense of place. Large plant groupings match the scale of the resort, which is overtly Mediterranean and authentically Portuguese in character.
