Situated approximately one hour’s drive west of Buenos Aires, in the Argentinian Pampas on the shores of Lake Culu Culu, is the site of the proposed Jumeirah Culu Culu Resort. This development, based around a Jumeirah Hotel, polo fields, equestrian pursuits and high-end housing, was designed as a flagship for other similar projects and following its construction it was intended that the Culu Culu concept would then be rolled out in selected locations around the globe.
The design concept played with the existing tension between horizontal and vertical- with horizontal dominating the plain. Large incidental artworks throughout the site contribute to this narrative allowing for balance whilst adding to the styling. Landmark Studios has worked on this project and concept, from the beginning and was responsible for both the master planning and the landscape architectural concepts for the site.
