HERITAGE AWALI GOLF AND SPA RESORT

Set on the land of the Bel Ombre sugar estate and nestled at the foot of lush green hills the Heritage Awali Golf and Spa Resort draws its design inspiration from a fusion of Mauritian and African Heritage. The African word ‘Awali’ means ‘Origins’ and keeping with this a lot of the landscape design cues were taken from African influences. This is reflected in the choices of hard materials, plant selection and the use of African artefacts within the landscape. The environment is informal and encourages relaxation through the use of quiet, passive water elements.
