The Fairmont Palm is situated on the man-made island Palm Jumeirah. The 5+ Star hotel is flanked by two serviced residential apartment towers each of which are designed around an island resort theme and include various flowing water features and swimming pools. The architectural design is contemporary arabesque with the landscape design that reflects this theme.
Although the site is relatively flat the creative design of the hotel’s building allows for a play of levels in the landscape design. Swimming pools and water features having cascading weirs over to the Gulf allowing for visual integration between manmade and natural features.
The guest experience starts with the arrival into the porte cochère which was designed as an over-scale plaza serving both the hotel and the ballroom. Views from the lobby look out over the Arabian Gulf with a linear central water feature separating the hotel’s family and adult facilities. The children’s area has a state-of-the-art children’s club including interactive water features and play equipment. The main family pool is split on two levels and includes an impressive cascade overflow.
