Al Doha Grand Park was designed to house attractions and amenities for the local community as well as to be a key destination for visiting tourists. As such planning was made for activities such as cycling, horse and camel riding, mountain biking and skateboarding to be integrated into the large space spanning over 85 acres.
Labyrinths and mazes seamlessly bring together nature and activity over the landscape while appealing to a diverse range of people including families. Active and passive zones, dispersed throughout, would allow for large numbers visitors to enjoy the facility with ample space; combining a sense of community and privacy. The form of the hardscaping design – tied to location and tradition – reflects a distinctly Qatari sentiment.
